Open PlugShare and find the next nearest charger. Check live status before driving there. Most modern EVs and route planners will reroute automatically if you tell them to add a charging stop. The bigger lesson is to leave yourself a buffer: aim to arrive at any charger with at least 10 to 15% battery remaining, which gives you the range to drive to a backup if needed. Letting the battery drop into single digits can leave you stranded if your first choice fails.
